What are the hours of operation for the 2014 Season?
Lake Hickory Haunts box office will
be open
from 7pm until 11pm.
Lake Hickory Haunts often
stays open later to
accommodate visitors on busy nights, but
the box office will not close earlier
than posted times.
What time does the line start forming?
Early in the haunt
season, arriving at
opening time is fine, but as we get closer
to Halloween the crowd grows larger.
How long is the wait in line?
We try to keep the wait time short as
possible.
However, We do not sacrifice quality for
quantity.
So the closer to Halloween, the longer the lines.
Lake Hickory Haunts prides itself
in being a haunted
experience like no other in the area.
Skits are acted out and groups are
involved in Lake Hickory Haunts so there
is a short reset time between groups.
This sets us aside from other
haunted
attractions and customers agree it is well
worth the wait.
How long does it take to go through the
Attraction?
That depends on many factors. First
you must
buy your tickets, then wait to enter the
haunt. Lake Hickory Haunts trail, boat adventure,
and
buildings normally take about 45 minutes
to go through, but the more scared you
are the longer it may take.
You may encounter wandering creatures
the
moment you leave your car, so
beware!
What is the new "Haunted Boat Adventure"?
It is a boat ride in which visitors board a boat and cross Lake Hickory while experiencing terror
both on the boat and in the water!

Can I make a reservation?
No. Lake Hickory Haunts is first come,
first serve.
However we do offer a "Fast Pass", for an additional price,
that will allow visitors to go in a different line ahead of regular general admission ticket holders.
Does Lake Hickory Haunts accept credit cards?
Yes, our box office accepts Visa,
MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Lake Hickory Haunts LLC. DOES NOT
sell or distribute the data we collect during the ticket
purchasing process. We use your data to facilitate the
purchase of your tickets, and to contact
you
regarding specific haunted attraction related
activities. When you place an order for tickets
you will be transferred to
our ticketing secure server (PayPal). All
personal information, including credit card information,
is communicated to us using encryption technology that
prevents a third party from
gaining access to this information.
Are the monsters allowed to touch you?
The actors in Lake Hickory Haunts will not
touch you. However, they do
get very close. Occasionally you may brush up
against their costumes or props. You
may also come into contact with some of
the sets.
Are there any restrictions?
Age:
Lake Hickory Haunts is recommended for
adults
and teens, but younger children may
participate if parents choose to allow. We do
offer a child’s price (12 and under) but
there are no refunds of any kind if anyone decides
not to finish the haunt.
Persons with Disabilities:
Haunted Amusement facilities are making
strides in addressing the needs of visitors with
disabilities, but it's not always possible to
include everybody and also keep the masses
safe. The forces exerted by some scares,
amusement devices, and/or rides can be dangerous to
a visitor who cannot maintain the posture
required.
Upon entering an amusement facility, a
guest with a disability should visit an information
desk and request any information regarding
access to the facilities.
Lake Hickory Haunts LLC. will provide you with
a guide of the physical requirements
required to safely enjoy the scares,
amusements, devices, and/or rides at its facility(s).
Many scares at a haunted amusement
facility are of a dynamic nature. Guests with disabilities
should refer to an amusement facilities safety
guide available at the Boxoffice, Queue Line and our
Homepage.
Participate responsibly. You should be
in good health to participate safely. You know your
physical abilities. If you suspect that your
health could be at risk for any reason, or you
could aggravate a pre-existing condition of any
kind by experiencing a scare, amusement device and/or
ride
at Lake Hickory Haunts LLC. DO NOT RIDE!
Where can I find coupons?
Coupons can be found in many local
businesses and papers in
and around the Lake Hickory area during
the haunt season.
We also accept any haunts coupon up to $2.00 off.
Is there a lot of smoke in the haunted house?
We do use fog machines at Lake
Hickory Haunts.
Are there strobe lights?
Yes, we do use strobe lights.
Can I go through if I'm pregnant?
Lake Hickory Haunts is not recommended
for
visitors who are pregnant, have heart
conditions or are in general poor health.
Please read our Warnings and Regulations

Can my friends and I wear our Halloween costumes when we
come to Lake Hickory
Haunts?
No. For safety reasons, we are
sorry to say
that visitors are not permitted to wear
costumes.
Are your attractions open if it rains?
Depends! Our haunted attraction is
a
combination of inside and outside venue. A
little rain adds to the scare factor
but heavy rain will force the attraction
to close. Stay up to date with Lake
Hickory Haunts weather on our
Facebook.
If we are closed due to inclement
weather pre-purchased tickets can be used on any date we are
open.
Do your attractions have security?
Yes. Lake Hickory Haunts uses Burke
County
Police Officers for our security
team.
We also have off-duty Emergency
First
Responders and Registered Nurse on staff
each night at our First Aid Station
located on the Midway.
Can we be thrown out of the park for any reason?
Yes. We do not allow foul language,
pushing,
vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind,
alcohol, etc. We have a list of rules that
must be adhered to for your own safety.

Violation of these rules will usually
bring a
warning and then being asked to leave
without a refund.
Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
NO! And they are not allowed on the
property.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is allowed only in the parking
lot. Smoking is NOT allowed indoors.
Can we take flash photos of your haunted
house?
NO, photography of any sort is not
allowed in
the haunt. Haunted houses are dark and
people's eyes (especially the actors)
adjust to the low light. When you flash
your camera you're not only ruining
other customers' experience but you're
hurting the actors' eyes. Also, the fog
used inside the attractions ruins flash photography.
Although no photography or videotaping
is
allowed inside the attraction the monsters
working outside will quite often
pose for pictures.
What can't we bring with us inside your haunted houses?
No pets! No weapons! No alcoholic
beverages!
No cameras! No smoking! No laser pointers
or flashlights! No food or beverages!
Do you sell concessions and souvenirs at your
attractions?
Yes, we offer Cotton Candy, Candy
Apples, Popcorn, Ice Cold
Drinks, Monster Energy, Hot Chocolate,
Glow Items, and Lake Hickory Haunts LLC.
T-shirts, Hats, Beanies, and Bumper
Stickers.
Are the attractions the same this year?
NO, the general theme of our
attraction changes each year.
So expect to see your favorites, but also expect new effects, sets, and scares!
Can we win free tickets?
Yes, Listen to 92.1 The Big Dawg, and Kicks 103.3 during the haunt season for your chance to win.
